The Records Manager handles all document management at the Icelandic Civil Aviation Administration (ICAA). Every effort is made to ensure exemplary document management and timely responses to enquiries. The ICAA uses the GoPro groupware application to process and register documents.
The opening hours of the library of the ICAA are on weekdays from 9:00 to 16:00
The library and archives of the ICAA preserve all information received from the European Civil Aviation Conference and the International Civil Aviation Organisation, such as annexes, reports, letters, etc.
Gegnir is used to manage the library of the ICAA. Gegnir is a system hosting the Icelandic national catalogue of library information, and has the aim of ensuring access to the collections of Icelandic libraries and thus maximising their usefulness. Gegnir is operated by the Consortium of Icelandic Libraries in cooperation with the member libraries of Gegnir.
Ómar Sveinsson is the Records Manager of the ICAA. He completed a BA degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Iceland in 1998 and MA degree in Public Administrarion from the same school in 2009. Ómar has worked at the ICAA since 2006.
